It is manufactured exclusively in Germany and can be processed and re-produced again and again after use. The returned insole is fully reintegrated into the production process. There is no waste whatsoever. The cork comes from the cork oak, which only grows in certain regions in Portugal and Spain.

While conventional cork insoles often consist of inseparable material combinations such as cork and leather, SUNBED takes a different approach: our vegan insole is made from 100% sustainable cork and a natural binder that ensures dimensional stability, durability and comfort.
The best thing about it: the sole can be completely recycled after wearing – without any waste. This is made possible by a special, particularly gentle manufacturing process that we have developed ourselves. This keeps the raw material cork in the cycle – and your feet in feel-good mode.

The natural cork material is breathable, absorbent and has a natural odor-inhibiting and antiseptic effect – perfect for preventing athlete’s foot.
Robust for everyday use, gentle on the foot: the insole is washable (gentle program at 30 °C) and impresses with its exceptional durability.

The cork oak is more than just a tree – it is a living symbol of Mediterranean originality. Native to the sunny regions of Portugal and Spain, it thrives there under very special conditions: Warm, dry summers, mild winters and nutrient-poor soils form the perfect basis for this natural talent.
The cork is harvested by hand and in gentle cycles – without damaging the tree. This means that the bark grows back again and again, making cork one of the most sustainable raw materials of all. It is precisely this cork that is at the heart of the SUNBED CORK insole – ecologically harvested, processed in a resource-saving manner and fully recyclable.
